Collaborations

For over 50 years the mission of the Berkeley Community Chorus and Orchestra has been to make the joy of choral music available to everyone. One way we do this is to help foster collaborative projects where BCCO joins with other organizations to sing and perform great musical works.

BCCO seeks to open the door even wider to collaborative efforts with other singers, instrumentalists, dancers, graphic artists, and musical organizations of all kinds. We intend to make this a permanent and ongoing part of the BCCO experience. We especially look to develop summer singing experiences (festivals, workshops, local tours, etc.) for our members in years when the chorus isn’t touring internationally, as it did in Eastern Europe in 2013 and in Belgium and Germany in 2016.

You’ll find timely links to upcoming collaborative projects as well as a compendium of previous projects. We urge you to sign up for one or more of these exciting events. Each listing of an upcoming collaborative project provides information on how to enroll. If you’re a singer or musical leader with another choral group we warmly invite you to work with us in these efforts. And if you have an idea for an additional collaborative project, be sure to contact us. A link to send a note to the BCCO collaborative projects committee is at the very bottom of the page. We’d love to hear from you!
