Comparing Duruflé vocal scores

The Duruflé Requiem is part of Spring 2024’s repertoire. This work was last performed by BCCO in 2005. The standard edition then and now is by the publisher Durand. Durand publishes the vocal score in two formats: a 9×12″ format that includes a reduction of the orchestra part for piano under the vocal staffs, and a smaller, much cheaper 7×11″ version that includes only the vocal parts (not piano reduction.) Both are available for purchase when you register for the Spring 2024 semester. The pictures below give you some idea of the difference between these formats. If you’d like to examine samples in-person, please see Christian during a rehearsal break.
