Making music together is the birthright of all living creatures.

The Berkeley Community Chorus is an unauditioned group that welcomes all who wish to join and weaves them into an inspirational sound, performing free concerts of master works six times a year. Our organization is like a one room school house. The beginner gets the tutelage of the more experienced singers while the latter not only gain gratification from this sharing, but are able to participate and produce quality music in a scholarly environment, with emphasis on learning for all levels. To quote a former cellist with the Orchestra after a performance:

"It was absolutely clear how necessary music is, and how necessary a vision... which finds a way to bring music so directly to people... it was quite magical."
